Grenade attack Nairobi -al shabaab

reports from aljazeera is that the al shaabab have attacked a restaurant on mfangano street, iin the capital of Nairobi. Any confirmations?
African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

Looks like there was some grenade attack in Nairobi last night. Too early to tell whether this relates to what we are doing in Somali.

While our mission there is noble, i think we should not be overly ambitious - we should keep it short and sweet. Create a buffer zone, seal the exit/entry zones on the porous border and move on. We do not have the resources to carry out an 8 month war! The uncertainity that this creates is not good for business either.

We should also rethink our policies in places like Easleigh where some of these groups can operate covertly!

My 2 cents contribution!

.....no retreat,no surrender,they have just validated a massive swoop in Nairobi and other towns.
...the Gok must make it mandatory for all malls,churches,hotels,schools etc..to conduct searches.
.....BE ALERT KENYANS AS WE HUNT DOWN THIS SHABAABS.

ati a guy walked in some minutes past 3pm and hurled a grenade into the mwaura's pub. Why would he do it at a time when they are sure that casualties are few! Just wondering...

why would they want to send signals when they are being hammered?? lets just say, that was the only opening they had. A club in downtown Nairobi and on a Monday morning? bure kabisa

My fellow Nairobians, we are in a lot of trouble, we might defeat al shabaab in Somali but there are so many symphathisers of the militants within the millions of somali residents we have allowed in our country, looks like we will no longer be enjoying our drink in peace..Take care guy!!

Actually, though it is physical, it is definitely more psychological, as is usually the case with such cowardly terrorist acts. Though they technically can only hurt people in a relatively small area and in relatively small numbers, the psychological effect is what terrorists such as Al-Shebab are counting on- the fear, the intimidation- trying to erode the willingness to defend the country, and this is why people must not give in, be afraid, or give up.

My prayers go out to all those affected by this heinous act of terrorism. Stand tall, stand strong.

The people of Kenya will not succumb to fear or psychological intimidation. The enemy will not win.
