Its Shocking that the people in R Valley are arming themselves preparing for a war in 2012. Yet our ***king leaders are shamelessly refusing to move with speed to insitute meaningful reforms.

Kenya has one of the best Intelligence forces. Am sure the powers that be were well informed about the possibility of violence last year and did NOTHING.

Am sure this is not news to them: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8293745.stm

Well,if we have that many guns in Kenya in 2012,there will be a real war situation which will make PEV look like child's play.
The crazy thing is that even in Rwanda before there was a genocide, there was a mini-genocide.
For the victims though,it's probably good to own a gun given that the govt is incapable/unwilling of providing security to its citizens.
Personally,I would move out to another place to avoid the risk though.

sometimes i wonder what is wrong with these pigs called leaders....they can't even acknowledge a visible disaster of catastrophic nature...they choose to ignore just because there is no possibility of it affecting them....

By the way where do these gun merchants ferry their guns through to their destinations?? we have very 'efficient customs personnel at the border posts and road blocks manned by breathing and kicking policemen...what a curse!!!!

The border is a porous one and you don't have to convey the arms by road.
The real threat though(clear and present danger),is the one posed by the government. Security, which is 80% perception,is provided by govt. Negative perception leads to fear and despondency which leads to emergence of militia and all manner of armed groupings.A case in point is whats happening in the N.E.P. If that continues unabated in all corners of the country, then it becomes a logistical nightmare for our armed forces and we have ourselves a real problem. The gloomy picture is not helped by the political situation-the two centres of power that seem to be held together by a thread.God help us.

Its unlawful to kill, yet those who killed are going free.

Its of no use passing the laws which are not enforced. Thats why this leaders of ours sucks!. Next thing you will hear them bragging that they have made alot of progress and there is a bill in,.........bla bla bla!. to make possing a capital offence.

Least we have forgotten that NO ONE has ever been hanged since,.....i dont know when!. And the Damn president even saved death law convists from hangman's noose just the other day.
