The Cost of this War will be Heavy in the Short term for the Kenyan Economy. However here are some insights from Economist's and F. Analysts alike.

For the long-term survival of the Kenyan Enonomy, to end the shabab menace, i am getting convinced that a price has to be paid.

AU opinion is irrelevant here (as always is). When your house catches fire you dont ask for other peoples' opinion..you confront the fire before it spreads......

Me thinks there is a 2012 angle to this one. I think the aliens need to be sent packing like yesterday otherwise we may have 4M voters in 2012 given the rate at which our idiot brothers a immigration are selling the Kenyan ID card.

Mr. Bwenyenye - I couldn't agree more. Let Kenya take action now. This is our chance to correct the anomaly that led to a year delay in releasing our census results while the namba of walalos was 'adjusted'.

Let action start with the idiotic Kenyans selling our nationality at the imig dept. Wanauza uraia wetu!! they are betraying their country and should be hang by the neck until dead! Wafuate hao watu wanauzia uraia - for them though no virgins waiting - just gnashing of teeth!

My prayers are with the Kenya army. May we triumph over the enemy (alsabab)

Hahahahahaha

Do you think anyone on this planet gives a toss about the AU?

They're probably in receivership anyways given their main financier is hiding in a hole in the Libyan desert getting plastic surgery!

I am really loving our aggression, I am very impressed with the degree of planning and execution that has gone into operation "Linda Nchi". The clinical nature of the operation has taken many doubters led by me by surprise.

This war is likely to take awhile and could run aground at some point, but the most important thing is our start has been fantastic. Based on this start, I am confident the planners have thought through the entire war, identified objectives and planned an exit strategy. Is it true we neutralised 75 enemy combatants? (sorry but I have to use the american sanitized language). I also heard some of our assets (read soldiers) are already at the port of Kismayu working with TFG forces to prepare for our next target.

It is in our interest to not only pacify the Al Shaabab but also to clear off the Indian Ocean trade route, I believe should we succeed especially with the later, every nation on earth will pose to take notice.

Otherwise wiping out Al shabab is not too shabby a goal.

I also think that the government should stop all media houses from airing this story as this will definitely lead to a lot of misreporting that will have bad effects. I think it was wrong fro them to fly journalists out to the war. There should be ONE source of information regarding the war. And that is the ARMY spokesman. Let us remember that war always has an element of propaganda. A case in point is where the bomb at Mogadishu. Some media houses insist that it was during the meeting while other say it was after!! These guys just want to create panic or what?

Don't forget the other angle, the one where we make a lot of $$ in funding from the US for fighting terrorism especially in Somali where they failed miserably. I can already see the Kshs. back at 78 to the $ soon.

BBI will solve it
