Our currency has always been overvalued and you can even look at the purchasing power parity of a shilling relative to a dollar or a yen and if you factor in inflation rates, the exchange rate should be up in the mid 100s but we don't have to worry about that since we've never let the shilling and we will never let the shilling float freely Cetral Bank will always step in to manipulate it. The biggest problem we have in Kenya and by extension Africa is not luck of smart people it is the luck of credible people and that lie squarely on the justice system, if five powerfull people were to do 20yrs prison time each for corruption, the whole country will change!
