Am looking at their results on the nation and I noticed how the'fair value gains on revaluation of investment properties' of 565m has greatly contributed to their bottom line. This could be as a result of the properties disposed off in msa and nrb (i guess). wonder what the picture will be like in '09 esp with the loss in value of quoted equities...still a buy at the current price of 12 bob?

Across- I believe this is KRe revaluing its property portfolio. Therefore one-off P&L effect and I guess its hoping that next yr,NSE will have recovered for it to reflect in its unquoted equities.
Ka-load,siyo kw aumbaya,but there is several NMG threads,si you can move your NMG rumours to it?

The 565mn will not be repeated in this economy. Also the equities will probably take a hit in 2009. All-in-all I am keeping off Kenya Re
