Recently topped my battery acid with battery water. Now the damn thing wont store the charge overnight. Has served me since Dec 2009. Anyone with an explanation? Is Chloride exide still tops? Thanx.

No explanation. I can only guess you put fake battery acid. But should you need to replace it, be sure to buy from their HQ in industrial area. You get a 20% discount. If you leave your old battery with them, you get a 25% discount.
Lord, thank you!

Never replace acid in a car battery. You can only "top up" the level with genuine battery water. Battery ikianza kusumbua and the charging system is ok then it automatically becomes a donation. Buy another new battery, unless your car is manual and you have enough children to push the car every morning.

@chaka, its the batt.
@tebes, how does a batt just kufa in 1day? Again, what would happen if I DRAIN the old acid, dry the batt in the sun, then buy NEW acid?

The lil' matter of 5k (already battered by the dollar), I aint taking it lying down smile

Just buy a new maintenance free battery from Chloride exide. It will set you back about 8.5K due to the weak shilling. However it does last for long as I have used one for the the last three and half years.
