In addition, at least 33% must be women. I have lost all respect for this Nyachae fellow. This is ridiculous, outrageous....Did he also say that the pregnant mustn't be sidelined during recruitment? Is this guy of sound mind???

@Kabz, I too was like, "is this guy serious". He behaves like the "Mr-know-it-all" in all matters constitution and for once i doubt this commission mandate. If he could have taken time to familiarize with basic some military SOPs document, i'm aware he could not have sounded this naive and ignorant.

its a joke! a bad one. A blind sniper? Wheelchairs in the infantry? Imagine a scenario in a firing range when someone always misses the target. the trainer cannot retort to asking them - "HOW COULD YOU MISS THAT? ARE YOU BLIND?"....they may just as well be!
Do they think people have the time to issue instructions (and abuses) e.t.c in Braille and sign language? The army is an insurance policy. you need it just incase someone desires to attack. Next time they will not have a minimum requirement....i mean, why should they? Anyone can be in the army - why should a person with a E be discriminated against because of his mental aptitude? Why should a person who is obviously overweight and can't run for 5 meters without collapsing and dying be denied the right to serve his country?

Liar Liar Would you mind to do some investigations about the US army then get back to us on how everybody can be involved in the noble duty of being our soldiers.I wouldn't mind giving you a link if asked to.N by the way what about those fat overfed lazy bones(Not all of course)i come across when i visit our military barracks.

@Article27(4), is one piece of sh*t that cannot be implemented nor is it practicable in all realms of life. In all fairness why are there such procedures as selection/interviews etc? Why do mental aptitude, talent, skill, etc count?

Now over to the military and the disciplined forces and you bring in lobbying/activism it can't get anywhere. Look to the "role models", US and Europe and show me a top brass woman general. Or a lame/blind/mentally handicapped soldier.

This is very difficult to implement but why lambast a man who only read out the provisions of the constitution of the republic of kenYA????
