And starting in Safe mode?? Anyway assuming safe mode can't start..

The Master Boot Record could damaged ...or the disk itself is damaged ..pray its the former.
Get hold of a Linux live operating system (say Ubuntu or Suse - it runs from the CD/DVD without need to install), have a huge portable external hard drive ready.
Insert the Linux CD into the CD drive, cold start and immediately hold the F8 button to change the boot order (Optical drive is checked first for a boot loader, I am hoping your computer works like most - this step might also not be necessary)
Save your new boot sequence and continue the boot. The Linux OS from the CD should load.
Attach the external hard drive.

If your internal disk is not physically damaged, it will appear as a device in your temporary linux OS ..open the device and you should see your files (I don't know if you can see them in Windows 7), transfer your files to the external hard drive ...

I hope you recover all your files, all the best and good luck.

Hi,Recovering your lost files is very simple. These are the steps:Insert ubuntu cd,restart the comp, press a key when you are prompted by your comp, install ubuntu without removing already installed operating system.
After starting your comp in ubuntu you will see your files since ubuntu dosen't get affected by windows virus.I hope this will be helpful to you.

@gitech Actually the procedure is boot up with the ubuntu CD inside when the computer has finished booting choose try Ubuntu NOT install.
Once it loads go to places, from the resulting drop down menu you should see an entry xxGB file system(assuming your HDD was not partitioned,if partitioned there should be more than one such entries) xx being the size of your hard disk.
Click on that entry you will then be able to view your files. You can then insert a USB stick and copy them there.

WHY TO NOT CHOOSE INSTALL cause choosing install will require the hard disc to be reformatted. Not necessarily the whole of it but does he know how to partition?

sO @uday ulisaidika?
