Is it just me or is something wrong with Mwakwere's advert in today's Daily Nation pg.43?? Its a message of condolences to Wangari Mathai under the Court of Arms and the Min.Trade banner.

But he is not sending the message on behalf of the Ministry of Trade; He is doing it on behalf of "himself as the overall leader of the mijikenda community and the Kaya elders".

I really hope its not taxpayer's money paying the advert.

Even Kalonzo and Raila do the same during Idd Mubarak to entice our Muslim brothers.

I know we have set the leadership bar quite low in this country. But when Raila, Kalonzo et.al put their adverts, they always do it on behalf of their offices, in their official capacities. But my money paying an advert for the "overall leader of the mijikenda and kaya elders" ???

Mwakwere's advert doesn't even mention the Ministry of Trade.

It's called impunity. This is misuse of public funds to gain political mileage. I thought I was the only one complaining, and the guy wants to be the president of this country.
