what are the legal requirements is one supposed to fulfill wen getting married to a foreigner?. a friend of mine (anafanyia wedo ocha)was told by our subchief to get some letter from here(nairobi) to be allowed to have the wedding,which are these letters.The wedding is in three weeks time.the bride who is my friend wants to remain a kenyan citizen.please no jokes

You might get the help you need from Sheria house or the ministry of foreign affairs

I suspect the letter could be legal status - (maybe visa,work permit,citizenship) which can be easily sorted in immigration

Think the best way is to call or visit the embassy of the 'future-husbands' country...they can give u the exact infomation abt the papers which are required so that you avoid trouble

For germany i know they require passport,birth-certificate,certificate or confirmation that she isnt married already or 'divorce-certificate'

Embassies are definetly helpful i guess.

marrying a foreigner in Kenya,

-passport / must be a legal foreigner

- certificate from the embassy[ to confirm either single/divorced]

Note that the foreigner might be required to have a Certificate of Good Conduct from the home country and the letter confirming the marital status.

Not all documents can be acquired at the embassies and must be applied for in the country of origin of the foreigner.

Hurry 3 weeks is not much time ............

Problem is thea is no time 4 AG,Ju the groom is comin one week b4 the wedding.i think he'l have to get those doc's first.btw who does he present the doc's to.
