I remember during PEV, the police were accused of using excessive force. Funny to see ali accused by LMO of not acting. What a contradiction?

did you mean selective use of excessive force?

Me I think the people who should be at the Hague are those who stole the votes in 2007; beginning with those who facilitated midnight swearing-in ceremony and the one who accepted to be sworn in at that ridiculous hour.
Thats when njustice will be served.

Othaura falls squarely in this category.

Please stick to the facts. There has never been such a ceremony in Kenya - ever!!

perhaps you are referring to the one conducted at about 5pm...7 hours BEFORE midnight!

Why are you stopping them?...it was once considered a 'late afternoon swearing in' ceremony, it slowly moved up the ladder and became a 'night swearing in' ceremony and now its already a 'midnight swearing in'. if they proceed like this it will be an 'early bird' swearing in ceremony next year and a midday swearing in ceremony by 2013. by 2015 it will have reverted back to the late afternoon swearing in ceremony it once was.

Ama Impunity wanted to say that it was midnight somewhere on the globe (perhaps china)

The old constitution did not stipulate at what time the president should be sworn in.
Am not sure if the current one does.

Allow me to digress....

CONSTITUTION OF KENYA 2010
141. (1) The swearing in of the President-elect shall be in public before the Chief Justice, or, in the absence of the Chief Justice, the Deputy Chief
Justice.
(2) The President-elect shall be sworn in on the first Tuesday following––
(a) the fourteenth day after the date of the declaration of the result of the presidential election, if no petition has been filed under
Article 140; or
(b) the seventh day following the date on which the court renders a decision declaring the election to be valid, if any petition has been filed under Article 140.
(3) The President-elect assumes office by taking and subscribing the oath or affirmation of allegiance, and the oath or affirmation for the execution of the functions of office, as prescribed in the Third
Schedule.
(4) Parliament shall by legislation provide for the procedure and ceremony for the swearing-in of a President-elect.

Without thinking toooo much, it's clear the contest was between Kibaki and Raila. The polarity in the country benefited both, the hardening of sides took place on their watch, the shameless rigging and clinging to power, unexpected and unsavoury outcomes... etc.

In my book, the buck stops with them, and they bear greatest political responsibility for the chaos. In this world and the next.
