Just been going through Centum's annual report and it was interesting to note that my prediction a year ago that they will be taking full advantage of the new REITs incentives has come to pass.

Centum divested from a number of listed companies last year which I believed was to create a war chest so as to take advantage of the REITs regulations.

In the annual report they have already have acquired a 100 acre plot off Limuru Road, where they intend to break ground by mid 2012 on a multi-use development for rent.

The project will then be span off as an independent fund to be listed on the NSE.

Centum is truly embracing the meaning of transparency from which CMC and other listed and non-listed companies need to emulate.

The new site is a well of information about where the company in planning to go and when it expects to arrive.

I found the following document, http://www.centum.co.ke/...-analyst-workshop-2011, very enlightening and refreshing it is my hope that other organisations will follow suite.

With the focus shown I believe that for those who do not have the time, enough or ability to analyse the listed companies your best bet would be to dump all those other shares and concentrate on Centum.

Regards
