Let's avoid the neckline breaking query. Ouch.
Will start tracking blue chips with 10%+ dividend yield as I plan for 2013 come back.

@deal, mwanahisa is even better my portfolio was 79% banks and although I did exit KCB for speculative play with uchumi and sasini I am still well and I am now accumulating KCB once again. At NIC now in the top 1500 shareholders and still accumulating. I left KPLC but retained Kengen. Banks now make up 40% of my portfolio and I am still well.

I'm still glad i didn't touch Total, KK, mumias, C&G, CMC as you had recommended.

KK kicked A**
Mumias too...what a bumper dividend...C&G, Total & CMC...dissapointed but those 3 never made it or tossed them from my portfolio..i love industrials...what with Banks overcooking their books..but my contrarian side is now stalking banks...i'm still waiting for the right time to go for the kill...i know I will buy at a 60-70% discount..your loss is my gain...it's just business...

Barclays and KCB made more than Sh1Billion from trading in Forex by 1H 2011...if CBK is serious with the recent intervations then this two are in trouble! I think they should also be investigated for arbitrage...how do you make billions from forex trading in 6 month???

ROAR! Look out for Q3 Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly. I concur that the game might be up with CBK's latest policy stance but fortunately for KCB we are still hustling for fundamental banking biz both in Kenya & EAC. I'd be more concerned about BBK who appear to have lost the drive/capacity to attract regular banking business.

In addition, in my interpretation of the major CBK policy shifts in 2011, the underlying message I get is a pointer to a return to fundamental banking i.e. go out marketing, gather deposits & make loans. Thus, I still carry the conviction that we might experience banking sector consolidation. "big bank takes lil' bank"
