hi all,

there is this agent by name Pink House Management Limited selling some plots at the junction of Kiambu-Ruiru road and Kamiti Road...

the plots are in 40 x 80 sizes at a price of kshs 6.5m...further treatment of this figure yields kshs 20.3m for a 100 x 100 plot (a quarter of an acre) effectively translating into kshs 81.2m per acre!!...

no doubt this makes kamiti corner the most expensive region in kenya...in upmarket areas like karen an acre goes for around kshs 40m while in gigiri an acre goes for about kshs 60-70m and i stand to be collected...

see page 43 of todays Daily Nation newspaper..

I wonder who will be buying those plots anyway..i believe with this type of ridiculous pricing of land, the bubble is right at the door step...any time now!!!

what say you..???

...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

i cannot agree more .. theres a limit to how far prices can go before they collapse....this is just as the same for the stock market...
If you want to buy land or property buy it but dnt buy at exorbitant prices....

I wish the govt would give Chinese construction some tax holidays and incentives so that they can build relatively low priced housing estates ..these land and house prices just fill me with despair ...

from the plan they had on Nation that lands seems to be the empty land directly opposite Githurai 44 on kamiti road. what i would want to know is whether the controversy surrounding it was ever resolved( some famil;y feud between two wifes of a former politacian or a big shot)

its certainly not worth that much

and why not indicate Githurai on the map but rather emphasis on Thome which is a bit far

The price must be a mistake. It is inconceivable for someone to pay 6.5m for a plot less than one eighth in such a location.

Maybe the size of the plots. The price is right as its on a bill board the size of KICC

It seems it is the land opposite Githurai 44. Sometime last year some company by name Nemka Developers Ltd were selling the same land and they were telling prospective buyers that the conflicts between the two wives had been resolved. At the time, they were selling in parcels of 50 x 100 at kshs 4m or somewhere thereabouts.

Later early in the year i heard something was cooking and all the people who had paid in full and deposits were demanding their money back.

My advise keep off that land. No body seems to know what is happening here.
