A riot erupted on September 20 in the Kanyama slum after opposition supporters claimed they found a man carrying pre-marked ballot papers for the national elections. The man was badly beaten and later taken to a police station, as supporters of the opposition Patriotic Front threw stones at billboards for President Rupiah Banda and blocked roads into the slum.opposition leading as we speak...

you forget that in Lusaka in 1991 incumbent Kaunda had to exit after being beaten by Chiluba of MMD. The MMD is now in power.

They proved you wrong mcreggae. Michael Sata declared winner. Rupiah Banda will have to hand over. Earlier, the website of the electoral commission was hacked and results tampered with to show an early lead for Sata. Which goes to show that the opposition is not always innocent.

before or after elections? Coz the Baks won fair and square and would have given him tips on how to play such tunes as 'domo domo' to beat his 'bodaboda za double-decker fellows'.
However, if he wanted power at all costs he should have had a talk with Raila and gotten tips on how to plunge Zambia into PEV and come out smelling like a rose while his lieutenants and the competing side hire expensive lawyers at the Hague.

I actually meant it the other way. Wait till the other side has smelt victory ' and is just waiting for the captain to be crowned' and then stuff ballot boxes like crazy.

LOL though

Sata had many bitter losses but still hang on and eventually won. Raila should emulate him
