well done ireland! they clearly studied the aussie game, the gods really favord the irish, heck the rain killed the aussies expansive game, lol! really exciting time in rugby when nations like wales ireland and argentina make the stronger teams sweat

Is there still any doubt that the cup is going to the northern hemisphere?

Nothing to be gained by analyzing teams excessively in the round robin stage. Against second tier teams, the top rugby sides will post comfortable victories. Teams will be under sterner examination once the business end of the tournament starts. Australia will always struggle in a forward dominated game which any decent NH side can play. So would SA (old fat players) and NZ for that matter. But SA would suffer more as they lack any penetration apart from some lucky breaks here and there.

The Boks look frighteningly efficient and ruthless.

The Irish win over Wallabies have thrown a spanner in the works. Barring any other upsets looks like the SH sides (All Blacks, Boks and Wallabies) will be on one side of the draw while the NH will be on the other. Essentially we'll have a mini-tri-nations in one half and a mini six nations in the other with the winners meeting in the final. For my money, NZ will meet either England or France in the final and the outcome will be a NZ win. And this coming from a Bok supporter.

Wait for the Tri-nations teams backlash before you conclude. After the Australian debacle, I expect AB's to smash their way to a finals vs whoever will bother to present themselves, they will then certainly carry the Web-Ellis trophy.

Haya, kaburu (SA will) have a game on their hands against Samoa. Should they win that, guess who they play quarter-finals? The Roos (Aus)...

Class is permanent, Boks ruthlessly dispatched a spirited Fiji side, the score surprised me and if you watched the game, then you know what i mean. I do not think NZ'S pack is better than the Bokkes and this will be a game to the death...

Aussies have a long, long way to go coming as the form team in the tournament, they won Tri-Nations and Queensland won the Super 15's so they had plenty of momentum which seem to hit a brick wall against the Irish.

@Obi Carter has a recurring back problem (rubbing my hands together) One good hit and yeye kwisha and we sit and watch NZ crumble!!

The NH Hemisphere have nothing on the Tri-nations participants that's a fact we all know.

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

@Ric dees, Carter is back to full fitness, the AB 's have always had the BOKS number and nothin will change.

The Boks biggest problem is the coaches in ability to sart the best players, so much is lost when the likes of Jon Smit are wheeled onto the pitch to play another test they are ill prepared to play in while more deserving players are left out.

I humbly disagree with the SA-Aussie prediction. Watch the Boks route 1 rugby being exposed. It wil be nice to see Supersport STFU!!
