what channels are offered
BTW come to think of it who need this Package or any other dstv etc etc etc packages when Orange is having over 4mbps speeds on their 3g network and there's the UNLIMITED offer via #123#... with such a bandwidth you can stream all the channels you want

Reading through that page I realise you don't need a dish so this is to nullify Smart Tv. This is worrying. We need compe in this area.

It is using the DVB-T2 platform and not satellite so you definitely don't need a dish. A normal UHF antenna would be sufficient "..I am because we are. "― Ubuntu, Umtu,

The Consumer Federation of Kenya has protested a move by Multichoice Kenya to make consumers purchase new decoders after upgrading software on older version. Multichoice has been upgrading software on DStv decoders and consumers with the old ones are already without the signal that receives MNet and Supersport. This will force them to buy new decoders at Sh4,500. In an e-mail sent to its dealers, the South Africa-based signal distributor, says that "subscribers must be forced to upgrade the decoders." The Nairobi office defended the move as "normal technological development which we expect to carry a price tag," says Ms Stella Ondimu, public relations officer, Multichoice Kenya. "It is a similar case when you bought your first mobile phone that didn't have a lot of applications. "When technology advanced and new mobile phones with a camera and Internet access were introduced, people went back to the stalls to buy new ones," Ms Ondimu says. Mulitchoice, however, did not explain what the new packs would offer that is special from the current ones.http://allafrica.com/stories/201109130480.html

I pity those who take in the simplistic comparisons. Ms ondimu will be better off being a pr for mobile phone manufacturing companies then, if that is what she can explain fully. You make people to buy from you new software then after that you tell them it was not necessary but now they have to purchase this extra thingy. Haki monopoly is bad.

I get internet in the deal too. For the odd EPL game, I go to Books First at Nakumatt and also have Kiss showing a game each Saturday.

Our Free to air channels have a target audience of mainly mboches and lovestruck teenagers. Those oga movies and mexican soaps make me puke. To make it worse all channels have them during prime time. I was surprised that even an all news channel like K24 has jumped onto the mexican soap bandwagon. Go tv will be a welcome alternative to that mind numbing balderdash...

There are more free to air channels other than KTN, NTV, KISS and CITIZEN (the Kenyan ones) that you seem to have a gripe with.
