@Taz and I accurately predicted the 1-1 draw Arsenal vs Dortmund.

our team Arsenal is back to form.

Gunner!!!!!

This is a very good result considering the recent form and away record. It also means that way are on the way up and the team is starting to jell..

You didn't watch the match....BD deserved a huge win were it not for good goal keeping and some superb defensive work from PM,Koscielny and Sagna. Our midfield is dead save for Mikel and Song (What is Benayoun doing in an Arsenal shirt?)Sad ....BD is a team to watch.I really liked their attacking flair (Mario Gotze was exceptional and i loved the energy in Shinji)

@ Guka...Dortmund were very good, if only they hard accepted our bid for Gotze! That guy is very good and at 19 yrs Old he can only get better....a combination of Wilshere and Gotze would have been out of this world. Shinji might not be as talented as the young german but his energy on the pitch is amazing.

We didn't play well, kept losing possession but a point away from home is a good result. It will have a big impact at the end of the group stages (if we win all our home matches). I think Wenger should have started with Arshavin at the centre....Benayoun is more of an impact player!

On overall and considering the future of Arsenal this season;

Arsenal defence is stabilizing with addition of Per M,we expect this to be sorted out completely once Vermalean comes back from Injury.Sagna and Gibbs are good squad. We dont want Squilaci,Djourou and the likes, they should be sold or sent on loan to willing customer.
s next summer.

The midfield seems to have problems and thats why we miss Jack Wilshere, when on full form Ateta,Song,Wishere and Ramsey will provide one of the best midfield in premier league.Benayoun should not start but should be introduced to the field during second half.Arshavin and Diaby should be given out on loan or be sold.Walcott is an excellent winger if he can develop the required confidence.

Striking isn't that bad since Gervinho and RvP have proved to be smart though RvP should be more active in looking for the ball like Rooney, the only problem with Gervinho is he looks selfish when with the ball and not strong when dribbling the ball,he doesnt seem convincing to play in windy stadiums.Young Park isn't that bad and can be given some chance to prove himself.

@ Jus Blazin....Barca lost their opening match to Hercules in the 2010-2011 season. AC Milan will be without Ibrahimovic plus they also drew their opening match in Serie A. The Catalans will also be without Sanchez for a while but still have Thiago and Cesc. Hapa naona kichapo ya 4 or 3 goals to Barca....

@ Jus Blazin....I blame Barca's performance on Busquets and Mascherano, these two should never be used in defence again. In the first goal nikama walisahau they are the last players at the back.

Anyway, Nesta and Co' were solid at the back but i think Barca still has enough quality to win at San Siro. The thing is i wouldn't be too pleased with Barca's poor show because if they finish second in their group then that means possible early exit for Arsenal and you know who (assuming we finish top of our group).

How come I can't see all the comments from the first page of this post when browsing from the phone?

Anyway, watched the Barca match and have to say that I have noticed Barca switch off when they are leading in a “not so consequential“ match - yes they were pressing for a 3rd but were content to keep the ball. It's like a switch they put on and off at will which is what makes them that dangerous.

Pep used the same backline against Villareal on match day one and Busquets and Mascherano were not troubled but jana they looked pretty shaky until Puyol came on...guess he wasn't 100% match ready. AC stopped playing 2nd half and that equalizer belied the 69:31% possession to Barca. Who kept saying Cesc will be benched all the time? Iniesta looks set to be sidelined for a while and Cesc is playing well.

Watched other highlights and BD are not as strong as they were last season with Sahin off to Real, Lucas Barios still out and Shinji just resuming. Last season they were potent with Goetze the final piece of the puzzle, I enjoy watching Bundesliga highlights.

Today I look forward to see how City will fare against unknown opposition in Napoli but Mancini should have an idea of how they play. Our trip to Benfica can't be easy considering how Benfica disposed off FC Twente,SAF said he'll play the veterans so we'll see how it goes. Hope for a win to boost morale as we look forward to Chelsea at OT...and no injuries

I was relieved to see Silva's goal go in. At some point their tikka takka was getting too pedestrian. And yes, those two goons shouldnt be at centreback. I blame their transfer policy. Why expose your defense line while chasing after two attackers in Sanchez and Fibreglass? Yet the positions they were bought for are already occupied? And yet, defense iko bare? Another draw and their immortality mask itaanza kuanguka.

Clarification........Barca did not chase after fibreglass. Its the latter who was chasing Barca.

Meliked the way Pato literally walked past the static Barca defence for the first goal. The one AC player who did not seem to have any respect for Barca was the evergreen Clarence Seedorf.

Manshiti will emerge victorious over poor Napoli maybe with 2-0.This is if they pray all the senior lads and Aguero much included.Tevez energy is required at forward. We expect our lost son Nasri to feature.

Manures will draw with Benfica or loose 1-0. This is if they take benfica to a small team.Benfica may look easy to beat but I noticed they are fast in their game and may pull a quick one before half time.

Can't believe that some people have already started to admire "others".

Kweli asenane iko shida.

Was wondering whether Manshitty will ever have kenyan fans... now I have an idea.

Man U will beat Benfica at least 3 - 1. After scoring 2 goals I suspect Man U will slow the game down given that we are playing Chelsea over the weekend. Otherwise the goals could be more - if the manager does not instruct them to slow down the game. When was the last time did Man U lose a Champions League game that was not the final? And we lose that record at Benfica? Give me a break!

Agreed.....But sometimes you can score many goals without breaking any sweat......Like it happened when we put in eight the other day.

Having said that, I wouldn't want us to score many goals since goal aggregates in CL group stage is virtually irrelevant. Similarly I would hate to see the team struggle, like chelsea last night, before scoring the first goal.

Even if it is saving guys for the Chelsea game,Fergie has totally gotten the tactic wrong! What a line up of match unfit players...Carrick the pick of the worst followed closely by Fletcher who I still believe has ukingo!Park looks like he has not touched a ball in years!

The goal by Benfica was sheer class, made Evans look very agricultural...the defense looks lost without Phil Jones and Fabio.

The mid is nowhere to be seen leaving Rooney frustrated and having to come deep to get the ball, Valencia is not being fed to cause havoc but his form is superior, Nani better up his game.

The equalizer from Giggs was vintage, before then we looked like the Isrealites in the wilderness!Fergie will have to make changes, maybe introduce Anderson, Jones and either Chicha or Berba, win the game and move on. But SAF is stubborn even when the obvious stares at him. Wacha tuone 2nd half but am vastly disappointed by this makeup-it's like a new team that has never played together before!!!
