saitoti,it is not right to infringe on copyright just because it is being done all over kenya and kenyans have to make a living.

try using that excuse to forcefully steal from other people - like 'it is okay to carjack/kidnap that dude because it is being done all over kenya and well i have to make a living'.

imagine one robbing people of their vehicles then stating that it is okay because he/she is selling them back at much cheaper rates - 'kenyans have have to have cars, you know.'

i use the kidnap/carjack examples because copyright infringement is not only a civil issue,it is criminal. the law says so. and the law is advised by the fact that copyright though intangible is an asset. it belongs to someone and unless that person allows you to use it,selling it (for your gain or otherwise to 'help kenyans') is stealing from the right owner.

and for your information saitoti,even if you bought the original/genuine works or got them from those who bought them,your making copies of the same and selling them or giving them for free is copyright infringement and is theft.

should learn to respect other peoples properties and or assets.

Why do you go out of your ways to give us very disturbing examples on how copyright is related Dan Moi,Pattni,and Ruto et al. As you can see,the problem with you is politicizing everything. Instead of encouraging the brother to obtain genuine products,you’re hell bound trying to break down his spirits through your disgusting comments and 'well thought' comments especially VVS. BTW,is any of you in business….I highly doubt. In business you start with what you have & build on what you know. What you should do is to give constructive criticism,tell the person where he has gone wrong & show him how to do it right; not just to lash out your deep frustration with the country’s politics to an ambitious soul.
