Saw this and found it interesting

Someone sent me this method to identify the source of mobile phone assembly/manufacturing unit.

Type *#06# and press DIAL [green button]

After you enter the code you will see the IMEI code : 154526009564585 [sample number]

IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 02 or 20 that means it was assembled in Emirates, which is very Bad quality.

IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 08 or 80 that means it’s manufactured in Germany which is not bad

IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 01 or 10 that means it’s manufactured in Finland which is Good

IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 00 that means it was manufactured in original factory which is the best Mobile Quality …[bingo I have 00]

IF the Seventh & Eighth digit numbers are 13 that means it was Assembly on Azerbaijan which is very Bad quality and very dangerous for health!!!

This will help you to find out if the mobile is original or assembled one.Try it.

Things You Never Knew Your Cell phone could do

Does this one work?
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk). Note: It works fine! I've tried it and it unlocked my car over a cell phone!

Relaying remote entry system signals via telephone might work if the signals were sound-based, but they're not. An RKE system transmits an encrypted data stream to a receiver inside the automobile via an RF (radio frequency) signal, a signal that can't be effectively relayed via cell phone. (In any event, RKE systems and cell phones typically operate on completely different frequencies; the former in the 300 MHz range and the latter in the 800 MHz range.)

It actually works. Done and tested. The keyfob for your car door broadcasts on a range far above audible sound, which is encoded by the cell phone. The radio signal from the keyfob however, simply can't be transmitted by the mobile phone. Here is your answer. Can you open your car door with a cell phone?
