AIRTEL SMS Issues

When people send me an SMS from an Airtel number to my Airtel number; the message is delivered after about 24 hours!

When people send the SMS from a SCOM number, I get the message immediately.

This strange phenomenon has been haunting me for about a month now. Calling their customer care number did not help much.

Anyone else with a similar problem?

what I have noticed with Chameleontel is repeating SMS - esp when I am roaming or rcvg from someone who is roaming - I counted one message from an MTN Uganda number - the same message was delivered more than 60 times (FACT). Also these notifications have become really annoying - abt 15-20 per day. I have called their customer service requesting NOT to rcv them to no avail. I AM migrating to Orange now...

Airtel has come up with some irritating SMSs about a raffle. ad the way you have qualified bla bla bla... hii watu bure kabisa... Did they set up 3G
