From 6.00 to 7.50 in 5 days. Why is this. Are the prices going up because of dividend payout or the recently unveiled strategy plus Q1 profits.

This counter is undervalued. With foriegners returning to the market and an annualised EPS expected to be more than Shs. per share, expect further rise in price over time. The analyst give it a price of Shs. 15 next year.

Book closure today. Price correction expected next week to factor in ex-dividend status likely to wipe out the apparent capital appreciation experienced over last 2 weeks..(considerin no fundamental development justifies the 25% growth.).... Anyway... I'm off. I don't think the dividend is worth risking the capital gains thus far. But hey! That's just me.

..if it is not expressly prohibited in law.. DO IT!!!!

@Jammo. Good timing out of coop altho there seems to be a general northward movement. I also alighted prematurely from CROWN@24. Would u buy Ken-Re@13-13.50 or KQ@16-18 for short term capital gains?

@Seles83. I believe you. I actually identified coop as a HOT stock and have acquired some shares.

Coop is a good stock.

Most shares are generally going up. My portfolio has grown by 15% since April 2009.

You can never be an expert in this stocks game, just speculate and wish for the best. Those who bought coop at kshs.6.00 last month have already made a 50% return,as jammo waits for correction from divivend of kshs.0.10.

It is up 9.6% today only!

This has more to do with general market upsurge..only three counters are down so far.
