1 - Assuming the 18% is applied proportionately according to market share e.g. SCOM has 68% market share i.e. 17 million subscribers, so it stands to shed abt 3 million subscribers - what will be the impact of this if...
2 - It affects how much the company can grow its network? If no more casual/unregistered users can be allowed, it will inhibit how well an operator can grow its subscriber base.
3 - In the MNP environment, will not most multiple SIM users have to decide which network to stay with? I have three airtel lines (one for data) and one orange data line - but seriously, I only feed one airtel voice line and the orange data line).
Ditto other operators - but perhaps the example of safaricom makes sense under the stocks heading.
I feel this will lower numbers and ergo shore up ARPU for the operators...with other operators it may result in better quality of service in terms of less congestion.
