A pity the mama mboga investors who are suckered into "high returns" avenues because the brokers don't do proper research and ask the right questions. Then the business reporting media in Kenya only has one or two guys who understand stocks, most copy and paste either from brokers or the IPO memo.
And generally speaking, the public only recalls KenGen IPO.

But in KE land brokers are just like going to a kiosk to buy panadol even when you maybe having a stomach ache. The shopkeeper just sells that's the bottom line Sad

'wanjiru' is a simple way of refering to the common man/woman

Please tell her that her name is being used in vain. Seriously, where are you from? Wanjiru is your kawaida Atieno, Mama Mboga, Fatuma wa dukani etc.

Did we and when did it change from "WANJIKU" to Wanjiru or the rugby guys took over the branded name. Moi in his infinite wisdom coined Wanjiku to mean those who did not understand the w hole constitution change demands saying she was only interested with where Mboga would come from, she ended up representing change and the common mwananchi. But there are so many of us are Wanjikus, Bless us!

Oops, Wanjiru is an MP and the surname of the late marathoner. I had forgotten! Wanjiku it is.

I am a Wanjiku, I walk by faith and not by sight. I know, I can feel it, I am assured by some supernatural power, that despite all these pessimism and negativity, this stock will make me money, come what may, no matter how many years it takes! All say Amen! Amen!

if I wanted insurance exposure and knew basic accounting I would see that even kenya re has better statements than this rip off "britak"...

I hope wanjiku can calculate the value of their shares when the company projects a 1billion PAT..

considering all listed insurance companies are on a P/E ratio of lower than 5 then with 50cents EPS projected for BRITAK I can only dare to imagine where the share can fall to from 9bob.

Unless the NSE wakes up, when these guys announce their results for 2011 5bob will look expensive...

then there is always the possibility it might pull a CFCIH or Transcentury

did you talk of years? That time it takes you to wait is the duration it wil take for one to triple theirs when its headed south and then it shoots north.
