Infact! The happenings on the NSE go to confirm why we need to dilute the dominance of the Beberu in our affairs. With more empowerd, both economically and mentally, Kenyans/Africans we'd have the strength and courage to hold up our OWN markets...but look..we r at the mercy of Beberus scampering from the NSE due to problems in their home countries, NOT HERE!!

you can say that again!! we're growing our economies but the markets still tumble.. Just look at china's market.. CHAOS!!

Manze! The disconnect btwn above par corporate earnings and outlooks from management to what the NSE is showing us is dumbfounding. Anyhu..getting to buy the mis-match. What we r truly suffering from is nothing new..cyclical drought thus inflation OTW this economy is more than functional.

That disconnect is called a fat tail. The recovery after the panic is usually fast and furious. This is a life time opportunity esp if the NSE tanks sub 3000.

@guru u very right...infrastructure has such a long value chain...the difference btwn Subsaharan Africa and the West is that SSA is addressing mass infrastructure, amenities & services deficiencies. The West has 95% roads to everywhere, elec to all, water, communication e.t.c. Yet u'd think it basic reasoning as to where growth and returns are...the NSE and some of its players can't see it. Anyhu' that's how longs make tons of money/wealth. Buy unfounded fears...

...bears make money...

I am not planning on selling anything else this year...

I hate that USD is @90, oil, infaltion, rain, etc. ... but generally the fundamentals don't look as grim, I expect most companies to still grow profits... no?

I will buy in small bits all the way to the floor (if thats where we are going)... na ikipanda bado tunanunua kidogokidogo... bei ya mkate ikishuka, furahia unless you are a baker!

@deal... "KCB has underperformed market for 4yrs"... allow me to assume that since the price has not risen dramatically, then it is cheap. And i should buy?? (since it has remained profitable and will be more so)

I also think that any cash I hold will do much worse than stocks so I buy...

I'd decided sometime last week to slow down the shopping spree or even stop, my broker resisted and asked me to go see her.

This morning I had a 30min chat with her and she didn't have a clear plan for me.

I killed the standing orders and I'm concetrating on clearing my business overdrafts...

I'll even open a fixed deposit account if the tide still hasn't turned in a few months...

In the meantine, I watch & wait... it will turn eventually. And I will be waiting with CASH.

Had thought I would buy all the way to the floor... but the bottom may not be nigh!

I've changed tact... only a fool doesn't change his mind.

I'm still bullish on KCB, small orders spread all over...
