I watched that Sunday Feb 25th, 2001 on STV (remember it?) as Grimandi and company were thrashed 6-1 by United courtesy of a Dwight Yorke hatrick.

Team Details

Man Utd: Barthez, Gary Neville, Silvestre, Brown, Stam, Beckham, Butt, Keane (Chadwick 75), Scholes, Yorke (Sheringham 75), Solskjaer.
Subs Not Used: Rachubka, Irwin, Phil Neville.

Goals: Yorke 3, 18, 22, Keane 26, Solskjaer 38, Sheringham 90.

Arsenal: Seaman, Luzhny, Cole (Ljungberg 45), Grimandi, Stepanovs, Pires, Vieira, Parlour (Vivas 69), Silvinho, Wiltord, Henry.
Subs Not Used: Bergkamp, Manninger, Kanu.

Goals: Henry 16.

@Impunity,
Arsenal's worst loss was in 1896 when they were thrashed 8-0 away at Loughborough Town in Division 2.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

I was actually very happy when Thierry equalised then lo and behold the flood gates did open...and that was basically a full strength arsenal squad

to arsenal fans

Failure doesn’t mean that you are a failure; it does mean you haven’t yet succeeded.

Failure doesn’t mean that you have accomplished nothing; it does mean you have learned something.

Failure doesn’t mean that you have been a fool; it does mean you have a lot of faith.

Failure doesn’t mean that you have been disgraced; it does mean you were willing to try.

Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it; it does mean you have to do something in a different way.

Failure doesn’t mean you are inferior; it does mean you are not perfect.

Failure doesn’t mean you’ve wasted your life; it does mean you have a reason to start afresh.

Failure doesn’t mean you should give up; it does mean you must try harder.

Failure doesn’t mean you will never make it; it does mean it will take a little longer.

Failure doesn’t mean God has abandoned you; it does mean God has a better way.

I wish Arseneight was meeting Shiety this weekend and Chelshiet the week after, so that wanyamazwe kabisa and permanently.
And they should be competing with Swansea on who should occupy the 20th slot!
