I thought i might give u guys a small trick

This is how to get unlimited data on ur orange 3g modem - the new one.

First activate the unlimited offer using ur 3g+ modem.once activated
Next remove the sim and put it in the orange 3g modem and connect. Works like a charm.

Make sure you can browse using the new orange 3g modem.

@hunderwear, orange is actually expensive than safaricom UNLESS you buy the 4gb bundles from orange. Also remember that on orange you cannot extend the validity of your data bundle for more that 60days unlike safaricom where you can extend the validity for as long as you wish. You can prove this by dividing the bundle price with the number of mbs you get to know the price per mb for each provides. The data charges for both operators are on the links below.

3G+ =CDMA and uses RUIM cards
3G =GSM and uses SIM cards

So you cant use 3G+ on 3G and vice versa.

@QW, I doubt if that will work; not even on an ice-cream-in-hell sort of a chance. Those are 2 different technologies buddy!

Kindly surprise me by stating exactly how you have practically managed to turn on top against the system on this one.

orange have now introduced more bundle options http://bit.ly/qxrZ0t making their prices lower than safaricom. The only problem with orange bundles is that you cannot expand their validity beyond 60days which is possible for safaricom

@QW25071985;

We are all still waiting to hear how you make a GSM card work on a CDMA modem.

The simple fact that a SIM card looks like a RUIM card doesn't mean that they are interchangeable.

Here is the solution to subscribe to unlimited 1 week internet on your 0range 3G modem. Get the sim card and put it on a normal GSM phone, ensure that you have at least kshs.990 credit. Dial #123*3*3#. once you have received a confirmation message, put your SIM card back to the modem and enjoy unlimited internet with unlimited speeds!
