Best idea I've had all day.

RAO will get a taste of his own medicine. That's what he's been getting his parliament majority to do since coalition came to power but since RV MPs walked out his 'majority' has turned into a laughing stock.

I actually blame such coalition wars for the slow pace of government business.

They are never innocent but always full of politicking and malice.

Miguna Miguna is right, parliament gets an E though there are those who have been working hard throughout.

Serious options have always been with us.

Ruto has no known relatives working in government.

Uhuru likewise has no known relatives working in government.

Eugene's brother was the only family he had in government. And note that while his brother was in government Eugene was not. The reverse is also true.

I think Kalonzo's wife resigned or something form the Central Bank. I'm not sure though about Kalonzo's wife.

The G7 are promising us a step away from Kibaki and Raila (the fighting twins) and that's what the serious option is all about.

In terms of achievements:

Ruto was a performer at both Agriculture and Higher education. Politics aside, he's efficient at what he does. Give him a job and he'll do it and excel at it. The accolades speak for themselves.

Uhuru has done much more at Treasury than most people know or dare to admit. He shares Kibaki's trait of keeping things to himself and doesn't go around boasting about his achievements. Here are just some of the things he did between June 20 and July 20:

16) UHURU KENYATTA RELEASE STATEMENT ON THE HIGH COST OF FUEL IN KENYA
Speech, "As you are all aware there has been a lot of concern among Kenyans on the rising cost of fuel and its impact on their wellbeing. There has also been a debate on what the Government is doing in order to cushion Kenyans from this rise in the prices of fuel.... As we are all aware the rise of fuel in largely due to the high and rising international price of petroleum which we have no control. However, there are concerns that the high price of petroleum is also due to Government taxes which some people have estimated to be about 50 percent. In this regard, I would like to make the following statement. That the maximum tax on super and regular petrol is only 26 percent of the current pump prices while that of kerosene and diesel is 7.9 and 17.9 percent respectively. This is way below the figures that have been circulating in the media.More importantly fuel taxes have remained constant for a long time close to 10 years. Taking this into account, it is very clear that the rising price of petroleum is due to the high international prices and NOT government taxes. The high international prices are mainly due to the events that are taking place in oil producing countries and in particular in the Middle East and North Africa which are clearly beyond our control. But I also want to let Kenyans know the Government is well aware of the suffering that they are experiencing as a result of the high cost of fuel and we are taking some measures to help cushion these adverse effects especially to the low income and poor Kenyans who bear the largest burden. In this regard, and working with the Ministry of Energy, the Energy Regulatory Commission, the Kenya Revenue Authority, we have examined the possible measures that we can undertake to help cushion Kenyans from the effects of the high fuel prices. Under the law, the Minister for Finance can only vary taxes by a maximum of 30 percent without going to parliament. In this regard, we have taken measures to reduce excise tax on Kerosene by 30 percent and for diesel by 20 percent. These measures are effective immediately and will be applicable for the imports whose taxes have not yet been paid. Going forward, we are also taking measures to remove supply chain constraints which will also have a major impact on the cost of fuel in the medium term. Let once again assure you that the Government is very aware of the challenges that Kenyans are going through and we will do anything within our means to assist. Hon. Eugene is fairly young in Parliament and as such has not yet held any ministerial position. with the new constitution he probably never will unless he is considered during the upcoming reshuffle. In fact this is his first term in Parliament. The only proof that he has been working are the CDF projects he's been doing in his constituency. You can see those here:

Kalonzo's successes precede him. He is the de facto man of peace in our country and in the immediate neighborhood. He has brokered for peace under the Moi regime and even under Kibaki's government throughout the East African region. Southern Sudan is one of his successes and even though many call him the yes-no man, he was one of the most important players in bringing about sanity in the 2007/2008 PEV crisis. By siding with Kibaki he brought about a status quo that prevented the situation from spilling over into greater anarchy. The place of in-between is called by many a form of cowardice or a state of indecision but this is far from the truth. This is called diplomacy and it takes greater courage and strength to be in-between. The reason is simple. Since you've not taken any side, you're hated by those who are on all sides. You become the center of ridicule by both sides and are called all sorts of names. That takes true courage and strength.

The G7 are a serious option and are truly a force to be reckoned with.
