I have to admit that was a good performance by Man Utd especially in the final third. De Gea still doesn't look very comfortable at the back, i thought he only had a problem with low shots but he seems to struggle with high balls as well (especially under pressure).
I think Spurs will struggle this season, Bale doesn't look the player he was last season....they gave away possession so easily to Man Utd and there was no movement on the pitch. One wonders why Redknapp prefers to keep Defoe instead of Crouch. Van Der Vaart didn't have anyone to assist him in the middle with Modric's missing. Like Arsenal, they need a creative midfielder because as things stand now they can only rely on the flank players to come through for them.

Thank you Arsenal fans for acknowledging the master class performance from the English champions - pray that the form is not reprised this super Sunday. I have to admit that I had been overly critical of Man Utd last season and when we started the campaign this season, I wondered what we were doing with Cleverly, Wellbeck and Johhn Evans. Well, Fergie's judgement has been vindicated and with accompanying performances by Anderson, Phil Jones, Ashley Young and who else but Rooney - the future is indeed very bright. I hope that Fergie trusts that team to dispatch Arsenal on Sunday instead of putting Hernandez and Carrick to start (as I suspect he'll be tempted to do). If Rio is fit, maybe he can start him for Evans but Phil Jones and Smalling should definitely be retained. Evra looked suspect against Lennon so I would go for Fabio. Arsenal will get some confidence if they qualify for CL group stages this Wed but I doubt it'll be enough to stop a rampant Man Utd. Surely the Manchester derby looks to be the game of the season if the pace set by the two teams is anything to go by. I agree Spurs looked lost without Modric, only VdV looked potent but Spurs must have thought De Gea would make blunders coz all they were attempting were weak shots from outside the box. Despite 2 almost blunders, I love the fact that the boy got a clean sheet - nothing to inspire confience more for a goal keeper. We need to improve though if we are to face teams like Barca, Real Madrid and the likes of Bayern Munich who are still quite strong. Fergie has reconstructed a team capable of winning trophies together for another 5 years - you've gotta hand it to the old man BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

Yet another routine 3 points in the bag. Though the EPL is akin to a marathon race, got a gut feeling that whoever lags behind earlier on this season will struggle to catch up with the leading pack. IF YOU EXPECT ME TO POST ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT ASENO, YOU MAY AS WELL SIT ON A PIN

Give credit where it's due. That was awesome perfomance from ManU youngsters..Cleverly and Welbeck were absolutely fantastic.I still have serious reservations on De Gea while i can predict Young will run out of steam soon....but then Chicharito is on the mend Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Someone at OT must be doing something right. United have secured a sponsorship deal for their training kit [yes, training kit, and this in addition to the main one with AON] that at £10m pa is comparable to and even larger than some of their rivals' main sponsorship agreements. Man U training kit sponsorship. http://www.telegraph.co....their-training-kit.html

I believe the certain surge we are witnessing on sponsorship deals has something to do with UEFA's Financial Fair play regulation. Clubs are trying to cushion themselves against this rule. Here's a list of the top ten sponsorship deals http://www.arabianbusine...deals-409565.html?img=10

The depth in the noisy neighbours team reminds me of Mourinho's second season at Chelsea - where the entire team B was as good as team A. Such depth is required when you're in the CL coz injuries are bound to happen. They'll mount a title challenge but are not ready for Barca - did you see how Barca dismantled Napoli the other day? I'm tired of playing them for now, afadhali tukutane na Real Madrid, we see how our old boy will play against us. BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

"He's at it again... Fergie's fourth generation can keep United ahead of the pack Old Trafford manager is rebuilding his side once more. How has he done it in the past and how will this one compare? - By Glenn Moore It was not exactly a Carling Cup team, but as Harry Redknapp surveyed Manchester United's line-up on Monday night the Tottenham manager must have thought, "We've a chance here." Wayne Rooney, Nani and Patrice Evra were playing, but many of the men behind United's title triumph last season were not. There was no Ferdinand, no Vidic, no Giggs, no Scholes, no Van der Sar, no Carrick, no Fletcher, no Hernandez, no Berbatov. There was a rookie in goal, two more plus a reserve in defence, another in midfield and in attack. Ninety minutes later it appears that Alex Ferguson is doing it again: building another great side. As in the past it has an English core with four young lions, Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling and Tom Cleverley at the heart of the team. They are, respectively, 19, 20, 21 and 22 years old. Add in David de Gea (20), the Da Silva twins Fabio and Rafael (21), Anderson (23) and Nani (24) and, somewhat under the radar, Ferguson has out-Wengered Arsène Wenger in creating a high-class team of tenderfoots. And Wayne Rooney is only 25 while both Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young are 26. Given United's ability to meet most players' demands when it comes to wages and trophies, this is a squad that should keep United at the forefront of the game for years. There will be bumps along the way. Young players are more prone to suffering dips in form and some may fade, but Ferguson has the experience to bring the team to maturity – he has done it before" ..."Wewe ni mtu mdogo sana....na mwenye amekuandika pia ni mtu mdogo sana!".

This is why i've always said England we'll never win anything. Just one good game and they are already hyping players. Aren't this the same guys who literally struggled to get a score against West Brom? By all means that was Wellbeck's best match in a Man Utd shirt...he is not a newcomer. So now you have a midfield that can take on Barca, well Wenger failed to do so with his kids all the best! Anyway they played well against Spurs, lets see how they hold up throughout the season.
Speaking of England, can someone please explain to me why they are ranked forth by FIFA....they should be somewhere between 10th and 15th.
