It has always happened. Merali is the best example. Look at most of the boards & you'll always find a similarity & the same old names. A large number of the old of this lot were either former parastatal chiefs, PS's & or politicians. Mauritius is a haven for most, they mostly use GBL 2 companies.

I know this, got trapped in Uchumi when it went bust due to some 'directors'... It's such a shame that these goons are offered protection just like the sneaky brokers who sell their clients shares. But what is the difference with our cases to what happened in US & Europe with bogus subprime investments?

The difference is that we've got no protection mechanism. In the states some of the bastards get life sentences & the investor protection mechanisms are better. Hope Gatabaki will inject a fresh drive at CMA coz he still has some scores to settle with the same lot after HF's boardroom fiasco that got him out.

The evidence released on Friday by Mr Luis Moreno Ocampo alleging the involvement of State House Nairobi & the military has caught the defense teams flat footed days to the confirmation hearings. Statehouse reaction was as angry as uncertain. With opinion polls showing Uhuru gaining support and a substantial decline in support for the ICC process, December may just be a game changer in Kenyan politics...either way...

NSE sheds 35.67 points to settle at 3510.65 points.
Another loss at the NSE tomorrow and we will be below 3,500 points, where we've been out of since Jan 18th 2010!19 months gains look all set to be wiped out!
@Hisah, what say you?

In one session the NSE20 has lost everything it has gained over the past 8 days...prepare your portfolio's for more losses....this is the time fo play around with corporate bonds.

I see 3200 by November ceteris paribus. Seeing how the ruling elite are playing around with constitution implementation, i foresee a cleverly forced presidency.
