Just saw this in the morning today,a persistent red Airbag sign that wont go away. What could be wrong?Has the airbag deflated?Or can the airbag still activate in times of emergency?

Kwisha!

diagnostics would be in order to establish which controls aren't working. Usually a loose cable somewhere... especially if the vehicle has not had a major impact

take the car to ur mech, he needs to do a diagnostic scan, it cud be an error or the sensor is messed, insist on the scan before you allow the mech to advise on any remedial action..

I had a similar challenge with a forester and was advised to check under the seat for a cable that connects the seat to the air bag and check whether the connection was loose. Fixing the connection solved the problem.

If that does not work, take it to a reputable electrical mech/electronics mech and let him start by checking the fuse, then the sensor. Chances are that one of the 3 suggested solutions will work. Avoid quacks as they may ruin your airbag system.

This makes most sense...perhaps this light came on after taking the car for a wash?
