Sure wrote:Spending your days in front of the television may contribute to a shortened lifespan, a new study suggests.
Researchers in Australia found that people who averaged six hours a day of TV lived, on average, nearly five years less than people who watched no TV.
For every hour of television watched after age 25, lifespan fell by 22 minutes, according to the research led by Dr. J. Lennert Veerman of the University of Queensland.
1) This has nothing to do with TV watching. It's all about
inactivity! If you are active part of the day and take time out to watch TV, it will definitely not apply to you. If you are inactive - even if you don't watch TV - your
natural life will be shorter.
2) This would only apply if you die of natural causes. If you are hit by a China road truck, I'm sure the number of hours you watch TV will not come it play. The question is how many Kenyans die of natural causes??
Finally, who watches TV
an average of six hours a day?. Such a person needs help even if he is under no risk of death! Six hours Monday to Sunday? Seriously?
