Recent personnel changes in the Prime Minister’s office have led, yet again, to the media (knowingly?) barking up the wrong tree.

instead of focusing on the orchestrated campaign against the Interim Independent Electoral Commission that preceded the changes, and the possible reason for it, the focus was shifted to other melodramas.

It would seem the now aborted campaign was intended to prod the media to start ululating in a certain way, as often happens, but the plan backfired.

The timing of this anti-IIEC campaign, at a moment of transition to a new-look body that will manage the next election, was especially telling.

When a hacker is uncovered hacking into a computer system, do you dwell on the crook or what it is he wanted to retrieve or do with the system?

The Miguna fiasco could ruin Railas career. In more advanced democracies, the principal Raila would be facing resignation calls like Nixon in Watergate scandal. Too bad his opponents are too busy with hague trial to capitalize on this.
