On Bralirwa, l also got all the shares l applied for, much as it was over-subscribed. So l tend to agree with @detomweri
The laudable is more often than not rendered laughable by overclaim

I am on record having stated that investors will herd into this IPO due to sterling post listing perfomance of Brailwa and the likes of KCB Rwanda financing. Well, happy refunds & under-allocations.

With 40% of the retail subpool being allocated to non rwandans (who are basically kenyans) things may not be extremely baaaaad.

Lets wait for the announcement

The behaviour of this share once it starts tranding will determine the perfomance of the following IPO‘s we are awaiting in this market: rwandair and cemerwa (KQ & BAMBURI equivalent at the nse)

The locals will be advised to re invest their refunds and case closed. Post listing success! Good for the pipeline IPOs.

Quote:
In the Retail sub-pool, Rwandan Nationals in the Retail sub-pool applied for approximately 201,348,737 shares of the IPO Shares on offer against approximately 49,734,840 shares that have been reserved for them representing subscription rate 405% the Retail sub pool as defined by the allotment policy disclosed in the IPO Prospectus.

Quote:
The retail applicants from the other EAC countries outside Rwanda subscribed to 39,956,400 shares against a total 33,156,560 shares, which is 40% of the total shares in the Retail pool.

My conclusion, retail investors in Rwanda will get very little of what they applied for but Non-Rwandans (who are basically Kenyans) will get close to what they applied for. Actually, small to medium size non-rwandan investors are likely to be allocated all the shares they applied for

This is great news. The over subscription by foreign investors & Rwandese retail bodes well for the counter post-listing.

Kenyans will make rwanda market liquid thats why tanzania with their retrogressiveness hate us in business.

The above article does not show the minimum shares alloted to East Africans.

Some percentage numbers here don't tie up.

Initial Press-release PDF said Retail investors – 291% subscribed
http://www.rse.rw/index....amp;catid=1:latest-news

The IPO Allocation Results states Retail East Africans 219%
http://www.bk.rw/documen...llocation%20Results.pdf

I guess we just wait for the individual allocations
