Hi everyone,

We are looking for land owners with land in Nairobi or its environs who are interested in developing residential/commercial units for sale or rent.

We will mobilise funds,design,build and market the units.Minimum size of land is half acre with a clean title deed.

How does the deal work? Specifically, would you require additional funding from the land owner? What do you mean by Nairobi and its outskirts (specifically what is outskirts e.g. does Ngong, Kikuyu, Kasarani, Thindigua or Kenda count as outskirt)? Say you built 4 units on half an acre, how many would the owner get? How long do you take from signing the jv to bringing the projects to the market?

Thank you for the response.

The landowner is expected to contribute his/her land as equity in the project.

Any viable area for real estate is okay though there is preference for areas like Dagoretti,Kiambu,Kitengela,Athi River.

A half acre can fit up to 30units(apartments) which makes more sense than 4units on the same size of land unless the 4units are built in a prime area that can generate high returns to cover costs and give good profit.

The duration for concluding the JV depends on the availability and seriousness of the landowner plus the nature and complexity of the project.A 500unit project definetely takes longer than a 30unit project.

Before we go further, do you have examples of projects that you have recently or are currently undertaking?

@Fert
How strict are you on the half acre requirement ?
Would you be willing to develop say 20 units on 1/4 acre ?

1) By contributing land you mean you co-share the title deed or what?

2) What's the share of income roughly... 80/20 in your favour or?

3) I'm sure you'll carry out a feasibility, who foots the cost?

BBI will solve it
