1. Maragua MP Elias Mbau was in PK's stable. Why did he have to shift camp? 2. Over 50MPs from Central and Eastern have endorsed him, why would these MPs go against the grain if the son of Jomo is a hard sell? 3. Has the new constitution solidified tribal politics or not? 4. Finally for those saying Hague may shift the political landscape what does article 99(2.) g say. Once you have read that go forward and read 99(3.) That will settle debate on the Hague debate. Fafanua...but i'll try and read after lunch

Article 99 is for parliamentarians. 137 for President. Article 137. Qualifications and disqualifications for election as President
(1) A person qualifies for nomination as a presidential candidate if the person-- (a) is a citizen by birth; (b) is qualified to stand for election as a member of Parliament; (c) is nominated by a political party, or is an independent candidate; and (d) is nominated by not fewer than two thousand voters from each of a majority of the counties. (2) A person is not qualified for nomination as a presidential candidate if the person-- (a) owes allegiance to a foreign state; or (b) is a public officer, or is acting in any State or other public office. (3) Clause (2) (b) shall not apply to-- (a) the President; (b) the Deputy President; or (c) a member of Parliament. So UK can still vie?

Article 99 (3) clearly seals the debate...one hopes the media can communicate that effectively, because unfortunately or fortunately depending on where you stand this guys will be on the ballot. Ocampo himself said at Laico Regency that the earliest Trial can begin is end of 2012 or early 2013, so definitely thats after elections and this guys will be on the ballot
