Racism, Tribalism and now clans. All the above is not necessarily bad, but what we are discussing here is negative. Reminds me of a time the Kiambus swore that presidency will never cross river Chania.

Huyu PK is a hopeless option, yeye ni Kalonzo mwingine.....the guy hasn't really declared what his intentions are. I wouldn't be surprised if he joins ODM towards next year's elections and becomes RAO's running mate.

@ waithaka, this thread would make a nice reading if you didnt drag your divisive Kiambu-Nyeri rift stupidity into into this. How can we build Kenya if we allow a few chauvinistic people to start minor civil wars?

Spot on! The so called 'Chania River' politics have long expired.....and branding Unyee a thief coz of his old man's deeds is uncalled for.
Something tells me Unyee is having sleepless nights over this PK guy....The thrashing of his lieutenants at the Murang'a County Council elections may have sent some 'mene mene tekel' sms to his camp.

He hasnt declared his intentions coz he HASNT! Kuwa mpole TAZ uone PK akila kiapo. Im seeing a rising star destined for greater heights. The UK sycophants n PNU stalwarts are shitting their pants as we speak. These are signs of things to come. Becoming RAO's running mate? PK is too principled for such an offer that is unlikely to benefit either, so I highly doubt it...

Central Kenya is in a tricky situation

For long I never understood obsession with this man Uhuru but comparing him with other Central Kenya candiates I found that he has these advantages:

1. The Kenyatta name-yes Jomo stole but a good number of central people consider him a hero and most older folks have fond memories of him.

2.Uhuru's magnetic personality- This is probably his biggest asset among the masses. He is well moneyed and elite but fits well into the kawaida Mugikuyu's life. He speaks like one of them and entertains them well Raila-style.

3. The money!!!!-Need I say more?

4.Gikuyu elite backing-The fellows who dined with Jomo are still very powerful. They will want his son there too.

5. Media-The family owns Kameme FM, the other popular media Inooro FM is owned by SK Macharia(coincidentally from Kenneth's Gatanga) who sits pretty in the Kikuyu elite and will most likely back Uhuru.

6.The 2007 anti-Kikuyu poll and the violent aftermath- Uhuru's ugliness in other communities makes him appear an angel in his own community. The Naivasha-Nakuru violence makes hima appear heroic in some quarters. This makes him different from Kibaki who some feel is too quiet and removed to protect his people.

But these points only make UK sell in central. I dont see him make a mark oustide GEMA even if he survives ICC. Infact, PK could beat him outside Mt Kenya! But in central, he remains the man to beat(assuming ICC doesnt nail him)

There are also those who are bitter for his father betraying what the Mau Mau stood for.
