Which bone? "....rib of my rib" demistyfied..

So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping,he took one of the man's 'ribs' and closed up the place with flesh. ... Genesis:2-21

Can someone give me a very insightful explanation of this verse?
1.Did God perform a surgery to the Man n not let him know where he was operated on?
2.How many ribs did the man have and how many were left?
3.Was it actually the RIB that was pluck?
4.The place was closed up with fresh,so where is the scar?

Looking at all the facts,
-if God opened up the mans skin then a scar was left!
-the BONE must be a very special one so as to leave a lasting desire for the woman in the mans mind.

P.S if ur a man,what explains the scar found...Pray huko rungus (btwn vuvuzela na exhaust)?Sad

The word used here,mi·tzal·'o·tav, has more than one meaning.It either means ribs or side(beam, board, chamber, corner).


The statement:
"This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."
Was made by Adam and not God and therefore it might not be correct.


However ,God says:

He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them "man."gen 5:2




Was anaesthesia applied for him to sleep??

Guys i tend to believe that the bone must be special.Ever heard of the penis bone?
Apparently all male animals have it exept......a human male!and they dont have the scar-huko rungus!-just check.
BTW,that why u must pandisha bendera before landing kwa airport!to other animals its not a must..!!!!!!
explains why we are horizontally inclined and will always be specially attached to females!

@scout_boy,here is another twist gen 1:27..So God created man in his own image,in the image of God he created him;male and female he created them. ..i.e before he created Adam and eve,so was the first man both male and femaleSad ??
can any theologian give an insight/references to the issue?

The Image of God here is a representation of a nature of God known as The Trinity.God the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit exist in relationship one to another.

By creating Man in His Image,it shows the importance of male and female relating properly to be able to function fully as man.
