Peter Kenneth has actually improved the lives of people in his constituency. Good infrastructure has opened up the entire Gatanga for serious trade; Education standards have steadily risen since 2003 and Security is high - this is the place with the lowest Mungiki-related incidents in Central Kenya.
His tenure Kenya Re was considered a turnaround period and the changes he instituted then are still in place now.
His 4 year appointment as KFF chairman (1996 - 2000) witnessed the greatest change in that beleagured institution. He revived the youth football programme and convinced the private sector to get back into football sponsorship - EABL and BAT came in during his time. He handed over to the next chairman in 2000 and left a clean record and audited reports.
@Kenyans
If a man can run a shop efficiently, give him a supermarket to run. A constituency is like the shop and the country is like a supermarket.
If only majority of Kenyans could be rational this time round by voting in favour of PK and things would be as good as they can get.
I was in Narok and Mau Narok the other day. People in Mau Narok are still living in the town centre with their livestock since their houses were torched by Kalenjin raiders. Why they have never been resettled beats common logic. IDPs in their own town region.
Unless the government has no thinkers, why not get one IDP from Maela camp, go to the farm he/she came from, build a stone house for him and build a military camp on site. Then bring back or the other IDPs. Why buy land for them elsewhere while they original had land they bought. Ama the gover fears the Kalenjin raiders?
Those responsible must have failed in school.
Go overdrive in purchasing the goods when there's blood on the streets, expecially if the blood is your own
