now that food and its availability in kenya has become such big concern what is likely to be the situation in the next 10 years? where can one get a relatively affordable agricultural land either rain fed or irrigational?
what are the rates for any cheapest area in kenya assuming relatively good transport means for the produce?

I believe you can get for such range. As late as late as early last year you could get arable land in parts of Nyandarua for 100k. But now the cheapest is around 160k. Keep looking, maybe youl get but in remote parts of western, ukambani or coast

160K an acre in Nyandarua?....Right now you'll be staring at over 250K an acre in Mawingo,Kirima Jiret and Salient area of Kipipiri or Gwa Kung'u (Leshau Karai) in Ndaragwa.I would consider this the cheapest in Nyandarua otherwise the better parts of Leshau,Shamatta,Oljororok,OlKalou,Engineer,Geta,Njabini, land is above 300K an acre.

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@Tupac, Good idea. Have you considered going to the semi arid areas, sink bore hole, quick harvest and ready market throughout. I bet you will get land with less than shs10,000/acre and your vision 2025 will be fulfilled in 2 years.
