Just 2 wins btn us and the WORLD CUP

We just humbled the mighty Fijians (reigning champions)

one game at A TIME,we need to consolidate our defense against the Agentinians. yesterday flimsy tackles exposed us to the wrath of the English. we need to tackle hard above all that we have been doing.

The Rugby World Cup Sevens-bound Kenya will on Saturday morning be presented with the national flag by President Kibaki at State House gardens.

The world beating Kenya team, who have already claimed the scalps of South Africa and New Zealand this season, will be looking to fly the flag high in Dubai from March 5 to 7 when the tournament is held.

Twenty-four teams pooled in four groups are taking part in this quadrennial sevens rugby show-piece event. Kenya are in a Group ā€œEā€,together with 1993 champions England,Tunisia and Hong Kong.

The six pool winners and best two runners-up will progress to the Cup quarter-finals.

Kenya players got a juicy inducement to progress to the Cup knockout stage when mobile phone service provider Safaricom announced hefty rewards yesterday.

Each member of the squad will receive Sh0.5 million should they get to the final of the Cup competition and Sh250,000 reward per player for reaching the semis.

The argentines are lethal they came from 12-0 down to win the match 12-14 ! A real surprise. I believe samoa wouldn't be a hard nut to crack in the finals although they gave england a run for their cash.

Argentina are tough, their game involves being physical and abbrasive at the the breakdown area, coincidentally this happens to be our weakest phase of play.

So if we defeat Argentina,we will be in with a shout.

A pity but the Simbas got routed by the more agile Pumas... We should change the Kenyan name to Chuis!

Anyway,a great run for our mboys!

The finalists,Wales and Argentina came for the same pool. Sadly Zimbabwe was in the same pool,so they really had no chance. They played extremely well and if they had been in another pool there is every chance they could also have got to the semis. But they are in the Bowl Final against Ireland. Kudos to Zim too!!!
