President Kibaki seems to have taken the creation of new districts as his new hobby!!. Since he took office,he has created 130 new districts, making a total of 209 so far. We all know what this means for our taxes. This man has gone completely bananas and his assistant is not helping the situation either.

I find it some how funny . I come from a sub location, which shares a name with Location, division, constituency and now district .So right from sublocation to district and constituency I will only be giving one name.

I'm yet to see the benefits so I can't comment but I think there will be some holes in my pockets through increased taxes to fund the new offices.

Good point njung'e,but Nairobi has 8 constituencies and only 5 districts. Which means there are some constituencies that have more than one district!

Down at the coast yestarday,Raila lambasted Kibaki for creating a new dsitrict every day. He said that, according to the constitution,it is only parliament which can create a new district. Is it true? Does it mean that all these districts he has created are null and void?

For sure, the man needs some respect. He talked of tatterd carpets that had been laid for him and lack of a toilet behind where he was sitting, just as it is laid out when Kibaki visits. Don't you think the man needs some little bit of respect and recognition?
