Have been in TZ and was on Cable TV with access to all major leagues soccer action,excellent movie channels and was paying montly subscription equivalent to Ksh 700(Yes seven hundred)

The only problem was that soccer action was via French Canal channel so commentary was in french but who cares!

Nyerere was right.Kenya is a man eat man society.

Can @sandu,@magigi,@wangura,@kanyimwa or anyone else that has received it post the file on 4share,esnips or rapidshare and provide the link here? We have been through this folks and we can't keep creating email addresses everytime we need to receive certain info.

By the way,this sounds very similar to Anytv,just that with AnyTV it is a software application that allows you to view FTAs online. Obviously bandwidth plays a major role in determining signal quality in that case. Sandu's sounds like one requiring a dish and decoder...but I would be interested.

I email you the write-ups containing the requested info. Discovery is not available in Africa as a free to air channel.
Briefly: TV/Radio Channels fall into the following categories ( Common Modes of transmission)
i) Terrestrial (Earth) Transmission: The commonly used. Use the transmitters on the ground to relay the signals.
ii) Satellite Transmission. uses communication satellites located on the geostationary orbit/clarke belt (approx. 36,000KM) above the equator to relay the broadcasts (Check my write-ups).
iii) Cable Transmission.
iV) Internet Transmission.

Under Satellite TV/Radio Applications,there is Pay TV & Free To Air subcategories.
i) Pay TV/radio is a conditional mode. You have to pay the monthly fee to access the broadcasts.
ii) Free To Air: The TV & Radio broadcasts are from several providers across the world. They are available freely in our space. They are legal. (Check my write-ups for more info) All you need is to install an FTA unit to view the same.
