MDF wardrobes

I need to put up wardrobes in 22 two bedroom units. I am
looking for cheap MDF boards or cheaper alternatives. Any ideas. Prices.

I run a hardware shop @ Gikomba and can supply you with the following @ competitive prices.

MDF Boards @ 2800 per piece
Block Boards (This can be an alternative if the units are not very upmarket)@ 2800 per piece
Curtain Boxes 6' wide @ 40per ft
Wooden and Flush Doors
Timber Door frames (Cedar, Cypress, Podo or Mahogany or whatever species)from 800
Fascia boards. from 45 per ft

Those MDF boards are useless, just get block boards and fix good wardrobes ab initio.

I would vouch for blockboards any day. With MDF in rented units, you may have to do repairs every times you change tenants.
The laudable is more often than not rendered laughable by overclaim

While the customer is always right, I second the above. Blockboards have wood inside hence they are more durable, can stand water and more weight.
You can always fix bindings on the rough edges.

By the way I also sell wooden tongue & groove, archtraves, skirtings, picture rails, mouldings cornices and raw timber

Thank you all for your responses. Any offers on laminated block boards.I need 60 pieces plus 20 pieces of plywood plus fittings malphic hinges(sp) .Handles, etc. I need them by Monday next week

Laminated block boards??? Hakuna may be Chip board.

Excuse my ignorance. My fundi told me so. Maybe he meant veneered blockboards. I am a layman in this field. Now youve mentioned chipboards. what should I go for chipboards or blockboards

As u continue with your discussion might anyone have good kitchen cabinets.What would be the price for a running meter for the upper and lower cabinets. Ill install them.

Am Carpenter with 15 years of experience and my advise is that to make a good wadrop there this new model cabinets made furniture which are durable and can hurdle any weight.you can send me your email :mburupeter67@yahoo.com i will send you some of the photos of wadrops i have made my self.i do export the cabinets from Germany.
