Hi Wazuans,
Any advice on the steps one needs to take to set up a company and start a business - especially the legal, tax/finance, etc angles?
I'll appreciate any input I can get.

Starting a company in Kenya has its challenges but the steps are,
1. Think of a good business idea.
2. Think of a business name.
3. Reserve and register the names at the registrar at Sheria House
4. Get a good lawyer who will draft for you articles of association depending on the business you want to engage in.
The whole process should take about 3-4 weeks, unless you part with something to expedite the process. Many times the lawyer will do everything for about 20K.
