Haha, @Taz, your club is more of a feeder club like those in Belgium, etc. People either move on or move out. Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity. ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Wenger has confirmed that the club has secured the signature of Lille forward Gervinho...he has also indicated that Nasri and Cesc will stay at the Emirates.
The talk of Nasri staying is good news to the club but i don't believe we should keep Cesc. He didn't travel with the rest of the squad (injury) to Malaysia but i hope he completes his move to Barca. We need to close that chapter and move on to other targets like the possible capture of Valencia's Mata who's just as good as Cesc.
We might have seen the last of Bendtner & Almunia, can't wait to see them leave.

@ Smano...Mambo ya City ni ngumu they've placed bids almost everywhere.
"There is always speculation when the player has a one-year contract to go and has not signed a new contract that he might leave the club, but Samir Nasri is very happy at the club and he is committed to stay at the club," he said.

The talk of Nasri staying is good news to the club but i don't believe we should keep Cesc. @TAZ - I wouldn't be surprised if Nasri "stays". I would be surprised if he signs a new contract. I said weeks ago that one of the options he was considering is running down his contract and leaving for free! That would actually be his best option!!! This is how it works: If Nasri leaves for free, he can get an extra £50,000/= a week without breaking a sweat. Say he signs a 5 year deal. Here is the calculation for you. £50,000/= * 52 * 5 = £13,000,000/=. Word has it Man U are prepared to buy him at £20m, Wenger values him at £40m, Arsenal are ready to sell him at £25m etc. etc. No matter how you look at it, Nasri leaving [later] for free works out perfectly for the player and the team acquiring him. The team saves a huge amount of money, and even the extra £13m [if he negotiates such a deal] is not paid upfront! It can be financed by future earnings - gate collections, TV rights and most importantly from merchandise [bearing the players name]. The player actually buys himself and pays himself. The team just provides him with the platform. How cute is that? Oh, I forgot, and Nasri gets more money in his pocket. Put it another way, If there is a team willing to pay him £110,000/= a week after having bought him for around £25m you had better prepare a pay offer of £160,000/=+ a week that he will definitely get if/when he leaves for free. What else can a player want? More money in your pocket while playing for an ambitious team at the same time. That's what Nasri will get if he runs down his contract. Just hope he doesn't have smart advisors. He is holding all the aces as we speak. TAZ wrote:"There is always speculation when the player has a one-year contract to go and has not signed a new contract that he might leave the club, but Samir Nasri is very happy at the club and he is committed to stay at the club," he said. Are you kidding me? He is only second to Tevez at "not being happy!!!!" Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Will mancity cough the €45 million for athletico madrid‘s sergio aguero? I have a feeling the transfer window at times is unrealistic. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

Since Man U sold Ronaldo to Real for £80 million, team bosses have become very "creative" with the figures the quote. And some Owners/C.E.Os have turned into hawkers. The Sanchez case comes to mind. I have also seen 22yr olds who are virtually unknown with release clauses of £100m! Google Ronaldo's release clause!!! At this rate, it's only a combination of prudent buying and football academies that will sort things out. But not to the Arsenal extreme! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I like the obsession on Arsenal players even if the team has not won trophies.@ TAZ- really admire your resilience even with a four pronged fork of guys who even call their team, an insulting name. With a number of clubs being linked with the gunners, its only a matter of time before we witness a new line-up. I believe Nasri will sign a new contract.Wenger should talk to him in French a language he understands.I believe that's what in the link below http://goonertalk.com/wp...s/2011/07/NasriCoach.jpgAccept no one's definition of your life; define your life.

@ Maichblack...You seem to overlook the fact that Nasri is a French player, he might delay signing a new contract but i doubt he would defy Wenger publicly. One thing i've come to learn about the coach is that he's never vocal on transfers in the club. I wouldn't be surprised if Nasri has already signed a contract extension. You could easily tell from Wenger's reaction yesterday that he's not worried about the player's situation.
If we get 25m from City then we should release him, with that kind of money we would get a good replacement for him. SAF has just declared that he's given up on signing Nasri....like i said there's no way Wenger can sell any of his top players to Man Utd.
@ Smano, i'm not sure what Wenger's plan is at the back but he recently declared that he won't be replacing Clichy because Vermaelen, Gibbs and Traore can play well in that position. This might be an indication that he'll be bringing in 2 CB (maybe Cahill & Samba), his priority this summer was at the back.

No source, No Link. Just gut feeling. Wesley Sneijder will be a Man U player by Saturday 16th July 2011. Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Inter are reluctant to sell Sneijder and the player is also not fully committed to leave so it will take alot of convincing to take him to Old Trafford. On rumours that a 35m deal had been struck he's what both parties had to say:
"No, these reports are not true,” said Ferguson. “Inter refuse to sell him, so it’s a difficult situation. We’ll see.”
"There is nothing to update," Inter Milan director Marco Branca said. "It's not surprising Sneijder is wanted by other clubs, but we have received no formal offer, nor do we intend to wait for one.
"We know what we have to do and there are no meetings planned with his agent. Sneijder is not for sale.
"I signed his letter to be called up for pre-season training and our intention is not to sell any of our champions. However, if mega-galactic offers were to arrive, we would discuss them, but right now that is not the case.''
Sneijder is a good player but anything above the 35m being quoted is just too much for a 27 yr old.
