he is supposed to be availed today as the chairman of Telkom kenya. The first kenyan to do so since France Telkom bought 51% of the outfit. (link to follow)

For like ten minutes, l have struggled to find any reason that informed this decision, seeing as they are the challenges facing TKL today. The laudable is more often than not rendered laughable by overclaim

Its very likely the foreign owned co might be placing a puppet CEO(Kenyan) so that it doesn't look like a foreign affair but behind the curtains they are doing everything and calling all the shots, Eddy's work is just to report. High level and ambitious CEO s wouldn't go for such positions as they like to be the force behind the company's performance they like to own the process and the strategies....hence Eddy.

Don't understand, but I guess Mzee is now tired and just doing what comes easily. Njoro is also chair of NSE, CEO at KenGen and I can't see how he can be effective in all these roles. Unless some are ceremonial. Sehemu ndio nyumba

Chairman of the board being ceremonial? It ideally shouldnt be. I agree its not operational, but it should be highly strategic and tactical. Its the strategy and tact that l dont see . . . . . .. . The laudable is more often than not rendered laughable by overclaim

To state the obvious - the Chairman of the board of directors is not the same as CEO.
