KRA has surpassed the 2010/1 tax target by collecting 634.9b against a target of 630.7b. 2011/2 target 100b more i.e 733.4b. Where from wazuans?
The laudable is more often than not rendered laughable by overclaim

KRA collected Ksh635b against a target of 631b. The 100b is from comparison with 2009/2010 where the collected 534b.

@GGK. The above is both true. They collected 100b more than 2009/10; and in the current FY 2011/2 they are expected to collect 100b more than 2010/11. Read the same link you provided. I am trying to engage wazuans on the possible streams of this projected 100b especially in the light of slowing economic growth.

Just heard on radio that KRA has been running a pilot with a few landlords for taxes to be paid on rental income. Good initiative, just wondering modalities. How about churches/mosques/shrines to begin to pay taxes? They earn alot judging from the flashy lives of the MOG & WOG (Man & Woman of God).

MOG/WOGs should be charged PAYE on their very FAT salos. u cannot ask a church to pay corporation tax on sadaka and tithes. they should be told to pay for all the businesses they run. most M/W OGs register profitable businesses in the name of the church so that they are not taxed.

as the constitution says.....Every Kenyan should pay tax......

As for the 100b, all remissions and exemptions should be removed. be it a hosi, ngo, diplomats ETC

there are many people who do not pay tax on anything in this country. no VAT, PAYE or corporation
