Common sense is the most evenly distributed quantity in the world. Everyone thinks he has enough.

Moi's rule churned out some of the worst court poets but the one who ran away with the prize was Oloo Aringo, then Minister for Education - at a public rally the fellow showered Moi with all manner of praises including Prince of Peace. When Moi stood up to speak, he cautioned Aringo not to equate him to Christ smile

See these guys of their own volition chose to play sychophants.

There was also Njonjo for Kenyatta.

Thika used to have that distinction of being the only place without a Moi this/that.... Then Moi Primary was built... but residents argued that since it is across Chania River (near the Del Monte Kiosk), it is not in Thika, but in Murang'a!!!

Then the council established Moi Gardens... and that was promptly grabbed by some fellows!!!!

So Thika town still remains the only one without a Moi thing...

Remember when one Prof Mbithi was asked by Moi to draft a list of guys to be dropped from the cabinet only to hear his name being read out by that Afro hair styled Khamis Themo during 1pm Taarifa. Poor old prof must have thought he was dreamingsmile

Moi also got huge doses of the idiots he appointed.Soon after taking over,he was hosted by one Mulu Mutisya.Who better to welcome the President than the Kamba king himself. And so he went,"Karibu!...Hayati!..Rais...Moi!"....the crowd couldn't help but roar in laughter.....Mulu had picked the word from Kenyatta's mourning period and he believed it was an honour term.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
