even KRA didn't know about it when they announced that it is only PK and Muthama who have been paying.....foot in mouth type of story

KRA did acknowlege that these two actually are the only ones paying taxes on all their pay, whereas the rest were not. The President Himself feted them at a KRA Function!

"Two tax paying Members of Parliament
literally received a standing ovation and
prolonged applause at the October
2009 Top Taxpayer award ceremony
when they were recognized under the
newly created Exceptional Effort
Category. The two honourable gentlemen,
Johnstone Nduya Muthama of
Kangundo and Peter Kenneth of
Gatanga were feted for consistently
paying taxes where their colleagues
had chosen to wage fierce battle
against moves geared towards providing
better clarity on the taxation of
the emoluments of MPs."

Get the facts right!Shame on you

How can they when their unknown journalist has confirmed otherwise, this claim is so juvenile, simplistic and laughable at BEST!!!!!!!

According to journalists Mwai Kibaki, Johnstone Muthama, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and Peter Kenneth have been paying taxes since 2008. KRA confirmed this through a phone call indicating that 7 more MPs have joined this group after the recent demand for taxes.

Those who can wait will see it in the news today.

Copy pasted this form Nipate. Just Changed the title.

The dailies reported yesterday that the President had also paid his taxes. He has not been paying. njugunajoghn is a propagandist.

Fundamentali , tell him again. He only comes here to defend Kibaki and Uhuru,Show me anyother thread he has ever commented on.

And Im amazed that some respected elders of wazua fall for his tactics.

The "Unknown Journalist" = Kalonzo, yesterday while paying his taexs and trying to fight back tears, he said that Kibaki paid last week, but put a caveat that he was not in the country.

Not only has Kibaki not paid, but i can assure you he has no intention of paying voluntarily, he will only pay after KRA has auctioned Mbadi.

"Uhuru Kenyatta has already paid his taxes. There is no way he would say, "The Constitution is also very clear on the taxation requirements that have been placed on all citizens including myself", if he had not paid his taxes. In my view, Uhuru is a gentleman, just like our President Mwai Kibaki, and he is not the type to hold press-conferences after he has paid taxes."

...so now it is only UK who had been paying from 2008, apparently EMK was the 1st to pay last week, when KRA was very clear that the 1st payment they received after the issue came up was from the PM!!!

Somebody is trying to steal another's thunder.

ALL kenyans know and believe that ONLY Peter Kenneth and Muthama have been paying tax.

Then Raila stole the thunder by complying with KRA demands before the Rest .

Then Kalonzo stole the thunder from Raila

Now , I dont know if Uhuru and Kibaki are trying to steal the thunder from Kalonzo or what .

But Tax must be paid ,regardless of who is stealing what from who.

Kalonzo's new name is MR DISCOUNT!!

You need to discount 80% of the drivel that comes out of his mouth...I understand he is a rare breed who's brain and vocal cords have part-time connection only.
